He was predeceased by: his parents, Dent Thompson and Christine Valentine Thompson (Loving); and his siblings, Marie Kilcrease (Thompson), Charles Thompson and Wesley McCage.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Thompson of Thackerville and Laura Monkres (Randall) of Thackerville; his brother Eldon McCage of Ardmore; and his grandchildren, Wesley Monkres (Amanda), Emily Wilson (Joseph), Jordan Thompson (Kaelynn), Brittnee Wright (Jason) and Brandon Thompson. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
