She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Monkres; and her siblings, Velma Trivelpiece, Elleene Jones, Joyce Varner and A. L. Powell.

She is survived by: her son Steven Monkres (Debra) of Paris, Texas; her siblings, Nelson "Dude" Powell of Marietta, Buddy Powell (Niki) of Thackerville, Ann Faulkenberry of Marietta and Carolyn Ryan (Mike) of Plano, Texas; and her grandchildren, Sarah, Shelbie, Samantha and Peyton.

Family suggests any memorial contributions to be made to Thackerville Community Church, PO Box 132, Thackeville, OK 73459.
