It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas James Monroe of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, born in Collinsville, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert and Hilda Pauline Monroe (Prigmore); and his brother Charles "Popeye" Monroe. He is survived by: his wife Judy Stapp; his children, Lou Ann Gladd (Monroe) of Sallisaw, OK and Tommy Monroe of Tahlequah, OK; his grandchildren, Garrett Gladd of Phoenix, AZ, Ethan Gladd (Ja Li Si) of Tahlequah, Ashley Monroe Watts of Sallisaw, Ryan Monroe (Shari) of Seminole, OK and Lauren Monroe; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Kylar, Riley and Hayden; his sister Peggy; his brother-in-law Joe Turley; and his nephew Mike Hall.
