He was predeceased by: his father Hugh Franklin Smith, Jr.; his wife Mary Sylvia Smith; his mother Martha Smith, Jr. (Moody); and his siblings, Gary Smith and Reba Joyce Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Dwayne Dobbins (Debbie) of Tecumseh, Cindy Michelle Anderson of Tecumseh and Misty Dawn Smith of Tecumseh; his grandchildren, Gavin Dobbins (Kaylee), Skylar and Savannah McKeown; and his great grandchildren, Damon Dobbins and Emery Dobbins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
