He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Farris and Bertha Stepp Farris; his wife Carolyn Hester Farris; and his children, Leauna, LaDeana, LaJeana Farris (James Wolfe), Tommy Neptune and Nicky Neptune (Jennifer Hunt). He was also cherished by his 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
