He was predeceased by: his father Dan LaRoy Bird; his brother DeWayne LaRoy Bird; his stepfather Morris McCool; and his grandparents, Edgar and Velma.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda C. Bird; his daughter Amanda Kay Riley (Eddie Matthew) of Aubrey; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Nicole Neely (Chigger), Katy Elaine Riley, Jacob Matthew Riley and Breanna Jo Riley; his mother Barbara Ann McCool of Tecumseh; and his stepsiblings, Mike McCool, Tina McDuffee of Oklahoma and Angela Spellman of Oklahoma.
