He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd L. Wittmann and Irene Wittmann (Alldredge); his wife Edwinna Wittmann (Atteberry-Lee); his daughter Kathy (Kent Crow); his siblings, Joe Wittmann (Barbara), Lena Mae (Cecil Barnett) and Dorthy Kennedye; and his stepson Ronald Lee (late Rita).

He is survived by: his children, Lloyd J. Wittmann (Brenda) and Betty Ann (Richard Taylor); his stepchildren, Mike Lee (Kay), Lorna (Pete Blochowiak), Kendal Lee (Kellie), Victor Lee (Sharla), Judy (Edward Aguirre), Carla (Jim Craig), Frank Respicio (Pam) and Doris Odell; and his close friend Josephine Koontz.
