He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Burghardt and Maggie Burghardt; his daughter Shirley Ann Bell Burghardt; and his siblings, Gertrude Burghardt, Sylvia Ireland and James Burghardt.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Duggan. He is also survived by Seven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
