It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harold Wesley Keyser of Talihina, Oklahoma, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Robert and Gladys Keyser (Williams); and his brother Charles Keyser. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Kiser; his children, Allan Keyser (Iris) of Philippines, Jon Keyser of Round Rock, Texas and Kim Brown (Phillip Russell) of Siloam Springs; and his siblings, Neal Keyser of Wisconsin, Don Keyser of Minnesota, Joann McIntosh, Patricia Wright, Dianna Stebbins and Evelyn Blackburn of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

“When on backpacking adventures into the Ouachita's, be it with family or friends or a solo pack, I'd make it a point to 'check-in' with Harold and Mary. We would carry on a 15 minute dialog, then I/we would depart . . . . always looking forward to the next 15 minute opportunity. Yes, I've hiked with Harold a few times and his stride way outpaced my 'mosey' so I'd ask him to stop so I could get a picture, when my real motive was a few moments to catch my breath.
