He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Hicks and Ellen Hicks; his siblings, Tommy Hicks, Jody Espinoza, Lena Christie and Sally Adcock; and his grandchild Baby Sanders.

He is survived by: his former wife Mary J. Wynos (Hair); his granddaughter Naomi; his children, Bubba Hicks of Stilwell, OK and Naomi K. Sanders (Frankie); his grandson Tyrin "Little Fox" Sanders (Tina Butler); and his brothers, Leroy Hicks (Patricia) of Burnt Cabin and Alvin Hicks (Donna) of Tahlequah. He is also survived by his children, son-in-law and his grandson.
