Susan Delene Thomas Obituary

Susan D. Thomas, or Nanny Sue to her family, passed from this life on Friday, September 9th, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK and going to be missed by the family she loved. She entered this life on September 24th, 1949 in El Reno, OK, the daughter of William and Betty (Kimbro) McCracken. She was raised with one brother, Richard. The family relocated to Green Country and it was here that Sue put down roots. She worked in the horticulture with her Mom, then a bartender for many years, and eventually went to work at NSU as a Sanitation Technician where she retired after many years.

She was the proud mother of a daughter, Shelly. She adored time spent with her grandkids and her great grandkids, they made her laugh. She loved to play card games of any variety, and Yahtzee, and the occasional computer games on her phone. She liked keeping her house tidy and collected Eagles in all types of display. Sue had a great sense of humor, loved having fun and was the lady that knew her own mind and how she liked things done! She was often found in the company of one of her feline friends. Nanny Sue loved her great grandbabies on her lap, rocking away where she could see their sweet faces.

A Christian by faith, she passed from this life on Friday at the home she loved. She was 72 years old and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mack and Vinnie (Rhoades) McCracken, and Robert W. and Effie (Prewitt) Kimbro. She is also preceded by her mother and father, her brother, Richard McCracken, and one great grandson, Logan Michael Fallen-Scott. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Shelly Fallen and husband Tony of Tahlequah, OK. She leaves two grandchildren, Jeremy Fallen and wife Karisa of Tahlequah and Tiffany Fallen and husband Jon Scott also of Tahlequah.

She will live on in her four great grandchildren, Rayley Fallen . Brynlee Fallen, Lynox Fallen, and Maveryk Fallen all of Tahlequah, as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. There will be a Celebration of Life celebrated at a later date.
