She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Noah and Harriet Elde Sumpter (Dunaway); her son Jim; and her siblings, Helen Hatfield, Margie Watson and Alan Sumpter (Bud).

She is survived by: her former husband James Edward Sanders; her husband Ernest Johnson; her sisters, Bernice Lawhorn of Tulsa, OK and Virgina Carr of Tulsa, OK; and her children, Joe Sanders (Cathy) of Locust Grove, OK and Janus Farar (Berton) of Tahlequah, OK. She is also survived by Ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many friends.

“Like my younger sister I too,remember our birthday braums Sundays,but most of all I remember how you had been to many of my cross country meets,track meets when I met beloved marsha ivins P.E.teacher..my football games cheering me on to win my next trophy,proud to smile at every blue ribbon I won..sister,u too had them same great memories.my grandma was the most spectacular lady in Tahlequah education.it was her passion to teach those she did..love you& God bless I'll see u again one day grandma”
