He was predeceased by: his parents, William Herman and Maudie Irene Thompson (Hicks); his siblings, Junior, Steve, Roy, Goldie, Merle, Mildred and Martha Lou; and his grandson Malik Hicks.

He is survived by: his daughters, Stacy Goad (Johnie) of Woodall, Bobbie Williams (Danny) of Fort Worth, TX and Betty Thompson (Kyle Murphy) of Tahlequah; his grandchildren, Barron Hicks, Jr., Lance Peterson, Hunter Bates, Luke, Ezra Williams and Kailynn Hicks; and his siblings, Bobbie Wood of Arlington, TX, Lois Wilmon of Tahlequah and Robert Thompson (Lula) of Teresita, W. R. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones.

Pallbearers for Doug include Emmett Thompson, Herman Thompson, Andy Harmon, Douglas Detherow, Scott Ingram, and Nick Donatelli.
