He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis McCarter and Jessie McCarter (Stover); his brother Calvin McCarter; his son Isaiah; and his sister JoAnn Fields.
He is survived by: his children, Jeremiah McCarter (Jessie) of Kenwood, OK, Esau McCarter (Amanda) of Salina, OK, Yona McCarter of Shawnee, OK, Nakia McCarter of Kenwood, OK and Angel McCarter of Shawnee, OK.; his siblings, Dewayne McCarter (Vicki) of Tahlequah, OK, Douglas McCarter (Annette) of Tahlequah, OK, Janet Birdcreek (Lex) of Henryetta, Janice McCarter of Tahlequah and Jennifer McCarter of Tahlequah; and his grandchildren, Manaynie McCarter of Pryor, Sarah McCarter of Pryor, Meleah McCarter of Pryor, Samantha McCarter of Kenwood, Christian Wilson (Caitlyn) of Locust Grove, Ian Wilson (Lexi) of Salina, Brian Wilson of Spavinaw, Sonny McCarter of Salina and Eva McCarter of Salina.
