He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Marshall and Verda Marshall; his wife Gretchen Fields; his uncle Virgil; his aunt Betty Mathine; and his sisters-in-law, Colleen Toro, Cora Bell Smith, Loretta Combs and Sue Mathine.

He is survived by: his children, Delora Marshall of Tulsa, OK, Michael Marshall of Idabel, OK and Trina Fraizer of Ladera Ranch, CA; his granddaughter Laynee Marshall of McAlester, OK; his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Starr of Kansas, OK and Bill Smith of Jay, OK; and his cousins, Ed Mathine of Omaha, NE, Jim (Rita Mathine) of Fort Worth, TX, Bob Mathine, Terri Samuelson of Omaha, NE and Cheryl (Phil Gray) of Omaha, NE..

“I just learned of his passing while reading the Cherokee Phoenix newspaper. He was a great mentor and someone I looked up to while living at Oaks. The last time I saw him was when my daughter ( she's 20 now) was an infant and we saw each other at a restaurant in Tulsa. He was the same old Don. Friendly and very talkative trying to caught up in what little time we seen each other. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.”
