It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dakota Blake Hiatt (Tahlequah, Oklahoma), who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his aunts, Verda Ratliff (Gene) and Brenda Stephens (Kenny); his uncle Dwight Shepherd; his grandmother Norma Hiatt (Pa Orris Hiatt); and his close friend Chase Cape.
He is survived by: his parents, Shelia Uehlin (Shepherd) and Rodney Hiatt of Tahlequah; his stepfather Jimmy of Tahlequah; his children, Blakely Josephine Hiatt of Tahlequah and John Brantley Hiatt of Tahlequah; his siblings, Danielle Hiatt of Tahlequah and Dalton Hiatt (Shelby); his nephew KJ Burnett of Northwest Arkansas; his grandparents, Carol Shepherd of Tahlequah, Bill and Dena Essner of Texas; his uncle Shaun Shepherd (Becky) of Tahlequah; and his cousins, Tate, Jax Shepherd of Tahlequah and Tailor Crittenden of Tahlequah. He is also survived by Several other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other relatives.
