He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Chanate and Cathy Chanate; his grandparents, Felix, Pauline Chuculate, Morris Toppah (Jobina) and Bobbie Colleen Bruner (Jimmy); his great-grandparent Isabell Amaunkamo; his uncles, Bud, Larry and Mitchell Chuculate; his cousin Stanley Chuculate; and his pet Missy.

He is survived by: his child Phy-Shaun Chanate (Robert); his pet Biddy Chanate; his wife Kamichia; his child Ahliyah; his pet Clover; his sisters, Debbie Chanate-McCarty of Tahlequah and Mary Chanate of Tahlequah; his cousins, Dan Chuculate of Peavine and Kelly Fabor (Chuculate) of Muldrow; his brothers, Fields of Marble City, Darryle Trammell of Stilwell, Eddie Paul of Cherokee, NC and Larry Webber of Tahlequah; his nephew Christopher; his nieces, Robyn, Danielle and Scarlett; and his great-niece Somie. He is also survived by friends, extended family and adopted nieces and nephews.
