He was predeceased by: his close friend Katey Lynn Kelley; and his grandparents, Isaac, Ruby Gifford (Shade), Robert and Shirley Champlain (Johnson).

He is survived by: his parents, Miles Albert and Sharon Lee Gifford (Champlain) of Hulbert; his friends, Chad Keener and Michael Clinton; his aunt Georgia Mae Bowlin; his uncles, Daniel Gifford and Marion "Bub" Gifford; his wife Katey Gifford; his children, Sierra Whitney Gifford, Miles Coale Gifford and Agustus Issac Gifford; his sister Sarah Guinn; and his sister-in-law Sarah Arndt. He is also survived by five aunts, seven uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.
