He is survived by: his spouse Joy Lee Pitts; his sisters, Gertrude "Trudy" Cline (James) and Vada Cantrell (James); his brother-in-law Clifford Melvin Cantrell; his son Samuel Todd James; his wife Patricia "Patsy" James; his children, Trisha, Joseph, Sherrie Lee Benningfield (James) of Kellyville, OK, Cindy Ann Stepp (James) and Randy Walker James (Donna Shamel) of Tahlequah, OK; his sister Mary Alice Sampson (James); his grandchildren, Leslie Beth Bell (Hougland), Husband Mark of Tulsa, OK, Julie Ina Shamel (Hougland) and Gary Don Davis of Tahlequah, OK; his great grandchildren, Jacob Adrian Stepp, Caleb Christopher Stepp, Amber Lee Beavers of Tennessee, Kelton James Shamel, Austin Merritt, Rylie Davis and Hayden Davis; and also Archer C. Durrant.
