He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Ashmore and Eva Lois Ashmore (Koogle); his wife Jean; his son Scott; his brother Tony; and his son-in-law Mike.

He is survived by: his brother Jon; and his daughters, Terri and Vicki (Angie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
