Wanda Sure (Pittman) Griffin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wanda Sure (Pittman) Griffin in Sulphur, Oklahoma, born in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2024 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Pittman and Wille Ora Pittman (Warner); her husband Flake Hamilton Griffin; and her sisters, Marie Pittman, Betty Pittman and Kanola Geraldine Pittman.
She is survived by: her daughter Janet; her son-in-law Darryl Carter of Sulphur; her son Tom; her daughter-in-law Janice Griffin of Marlow; her sister Georgia Sanner of Enid; her grandsons, T. H. Griffin (Valerie) of Austin, TX, Wade Griffin (Terra) of Weimar, Tyler Griffin (Kim) of Guthrie, Whitt Carter (Madison) of Broken Arrow and Kendall Carter (Sarah) of Ada; her great grandchildren, Amelia, Savannah, Ava Griffin of Austin, TX, Gracelynn, Gaines Griffin of Guthrie, MJ, Carsyn, Callan Griffin of Weimar, TX, Crew, Cobi Carter of Broken Arrow, Noa, Kaius and Meyer Carter of Ada; her grandchildren, Jeremy and Janelle Hardoin; and her great grandchildren, Grady and Addy Hardoin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Crossway Baptist Church (2108 W Broadway Ave, Sulphur, OK 73086). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at the Troy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to the Sulphur Nutrition Center at 728 Cambridge Dr., Sulphur, OK 73086.
