He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McDonald "Mack" Cole and Aftina Ferrell Crow Cole; his son Talbot Ferrell Cole; and his brothers, Mack Montreal "Monty" Cole and Joe Donald Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Cole; his sons, Lance P. Cole and Heath Cogburn (Iesha); his sister Glenna Kirkpatrick (Jim); and his grandchildren, Jacob Cole and Ella Cogburn. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and cherished friends.
