He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Day and Ruby Day; and his brothers, Harvey, Johnny, Keith and David Day.

He is survived by: his wife Clarinda; his children, Kevin Day (Jennifer) of Ardmore, Lacrinda Howard (Marlon) of Sulphur and Michael Day (Kelly) of Fuquay-Varina, N. C.; his grandchildren, Brittani Martinez (Devin), Howard (Lindsey), Bryson Howard (Brittney), Makenna Day, Wei and Yan Day; his siblings, Glenn Day, Brenda Freese and Lisa Day; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Parker, Hudson, Maggie, Violet, Grayson, Deagen, Mayzee and Declan.
