He was predeceased by: his father Johnnie Oscar; his sister D. Armenta McWethy (Akers); and his sister-in-law Hilda Akers. He is survived by: his sons, Richard A. Akers (Terri) of Calumet and Randy D. Akers (Susan) of Harrah; his grandchildren, Erick Akers, Cheyenne Akers, Riley Akers and Lacey Barrett; his nieces, Bobbie McGinness, Kathy Perkins, Karen Favors and Dian Roetker; his great-niece Kellie Kubena; and his brothers, Darrell Akers (Virginia) of Sulphur, Harrel Akers of Dougherty and Doug Akers (Margaret) of Dougherty. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
