He was predeceased by : his parents, Zella Ilene Plymate (Killam) and Lawrence "Larry" Plymate; and his grandparents, Lloyd, Opal Killiam, Ben W. and Ida Plymate (Leigh).

He is survived by : his wife Leona Plymate; his children, Leslie Mize (Jim) and Deanna Crawford (Kent); his grandchildren, Tony Dawkins (Brittney), Dakota Mize, Brooke Wilkins, Cecily Gragg (Zathan) and Emma Crawford (Jaedon Hennon); his great grandchildren, Kambrey, Brantley and Landry; his sisters, Linda Creason (late Bill) of McAlester and Nancy Huff (Ron); and his close friend Greg Vaughan (Ashley). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
