We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Estelle Elmore Pennington of Stratford, Oklahoma. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart McKnight and Ruth McKnight (Bates); and her husbands, Lester Elmore and Alfred Pennington. She is survived by: her children, Dixie Pennington of Stratford, OK., Rebecca Kuykendall (Glen) of Chickasha, OK., Ruthie Muse (Mike) of Pauls Valley, OK. and Woodrow Elmore of Stratford, OK.; and her grandsons, Woody Elmore, Curtis Elmore, Anthony Pennington, Shane Pennington, Doug Kuykendall and Jayston Muse. She is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

It's my understanding she was doing ancestral work on Christopher Columbus Elmore with an ancestral history writer William E Elmore out of Missouri in the late 80s and 90s. I am a direct descendant of CC Elmore, I'm also working that part of our ancestry. I'm curious if Estelle left behind any documentation she may have unearthed regarding CC Elmores parents, etc. If she did and you'd like to share with me - [email protected]”
