He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Allen and Bertha Moore (Summers); his brother Donald Moore; his brother-in-law Byron Brakhage; and his stepchildren, Jarl Boyd, Jeanine Boyd and Russell Hudson.

He is survived by: his son Denny Boyd; and his siblings, Danny (Susan Moore), Darrell (Diana Moore), Kathy (Richard Reynen), Alpha (Paul Walsh) and Myrt Brakhage. He is also survived by several grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
