He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Raymond Moon and Audrey Carpenter Moon; and his granddaughter Whitney Bynum Howard. He is survived by: his grandsons, Jesse Cate and Bruce; his wife Carla; his children, Kathie (Bruce Cate), Carol (Allen Bynum) and Carl Moon; and his grandchildren, Erik Cate (Jessica), Ashley (Matt Horne), Taylor Howard, Melissa Bazzrea, Garth Bynum (Courtney), Clayton Cate (Tasha), Dustin, Chandler Cate, Branden and Lindsey Bynum. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
