He was predeceased by: his father Eldon Hatton; and his brother-in-law Mike Byrd. He is survived by: his son Shelley; his wife Shelley A. Hatton; his children, Lannette Hatton of Waco, TX, Linda Hatton of Ringling, OK, Bobbi Leigh (Mark Tollefson) of Stonewall and Kaleb Hatton; his mother Lou Wainscott Hatton of Ada; his sister Linda Byrd of Stonewall; his nephew Dillon Byrd (Julia) of Ada; his parents-in-law, Leon Pirtle of Iola, TX and Charlotte Pirtle of Iola, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Pirtle of Frederick, OK, Sharonda Pirtle of Moore, OK and Sharia Stabler (Stacey). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
