It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Hitcher of Stilwell, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hitcher and Glorena Hitcher (Crittenden); and his siblings, Nick Hummingbird and Myrna Sue Shell (Susie). He is survived by: his wife Karen Hitcher; his children, Wilson Hitcher (Melanie) of Stilwell, Benjamin Hitcher (Melissa) of Springdale Arkansas and Lee Ann Hitcher Springdale of Arkansas; and his brothers, Willie Hitcher (Toni) of Dallas Texas and Pete Hitcher of Stilwell Oklahoma. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Roberts Reed Culver Funeral Home (801 W Locust St, Stilwell, OK 74960).
