He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hembree and Carlotta Hembree (Adair); his wife Rose Hembree; his siblings, Watie Hembree, Vernon Hembree, Sam Hembree and Ailene Padgett; and his son Howard Lester of Fayetteville, AR.
He is survived by: his children, James Hembree (Margie) of Stilwell and Cheryl Lester; his siblings, Dan Hembree (Audrie) of Westville, Al Hembree (Sue) of Westville, Ivan Hembree of Stilwell and Marie Boren of Westville; and his grandchildren, Kerri Wolf (Tim), Josh Hembree (Kendal), Dennis Lester (Kayla) and Justin Blankenship (Savannah). He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
