He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Choate and Jewel Choate (Leatherwood). He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Tilghman (Keith) and Michelle Daniels; his grandchildren, Jaqueline Mize, Daeton Dry, Kaitlyn Pickett, Amanda Mays, James Mays and Mason Daniels; and his niece Mary Dry. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
