He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester H. Cooper and Edna Mae Cooper (Martin); and his siblings, Joe Cooper (J. C.), J. T. Cooper, Kenneth Cooper, Jimmy Eugene Cooper, Charles Edward Cooper and Lena Mae Cooper.
He is survived by: his brother Jerry Lee Cooper of Yukon, OK; and also, Bob and Pat Leatherwood. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
