He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pettit and Cynthia Pettit; his wife Mary Pettit; his son Michael Don Pettit; his siblings, Phoebe Pettit, Dollie Blackbird, Elsie Wade and Deronie Pettit; and his great grandchild Javion Netro.
He is survived by: his children, Jack Pettit, Jr. of Stilwell, Marie Ladrillero (Saturnino) of Stilwell and Jennifer Cartwright (James) of Sallisaw; and his siblings, Reba Rogers of Marble City, Winnie Pettit of Marble City, Cecilia Hardbarger of Marble City, Lois Vann of Sallisaw and Gerald Pettit of Marble City. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
