He was predeceased by: his parents, James Grigsby and Nancy Grigsby (Gritts); his siblings, Roy Grigsby, Winford Grigsby (Sonny), Virginia Guttillo (Joe) and Dorothy Hogner (Lacy); his stepgrandson Justin Rich; his siblings-in-law, Marland Hogner, George Hogner, Jerry Brown and Janis Harlan; and his nephew Rodney Guttillo.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Grigsby; his daughters, Doreen M. Templeton (Ernest) and Taina Grigsby (Padarick Chairs); his stepdaughter Sherri Rich; his brother-in-law David Hogner; his grandsons, Terek, Padarick, Deitrick, Kendrick and Donald W. Templeton; his stepgrandchildren, Leeza Stanley (Jeremiah), Joe Kester, Chelsea Rich, Serenity Rich, Faith Kester, Brooklyn Goodman, Avery Hudson and Isiah James Stanley; his sisters-in-law, Wanda Brown and Joie Smith; and his siblings, Lucille Thomas, Carol Alec, Sue Alberty, Pat Fourkiller (Raymond) and Lucretia Grigsby. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
