He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Turner and Maud Mae Turner (Moody); and his brothers, Wayne Turner and Roy Turner. He is survived by: his wife Vera Turner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his children, Denise Martin of Lawrence, Donna Vernier (Doug) of Warr Acres, Brian Turner (Carla) of Bartlesville and Deanna Turner of Stillwater, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Marissa Winter (Adam), Heather Martin, Hollie Martin, Sarah Vernier (Corbin Brown) and Rachel Vernier; his great grandchildren, Ellen and Marshall Winter; and his siblings, Clare Turner Lawless of Modesta and Zula Turner Piotrouski of Rideland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dighton Marler Funeral Home (5106 N Washington St, Stillwater, OK 74075). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene (1023 E Will Rogers Dr, Stillwater, OK 74075).
