He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Ward and E. B. Ward; and his siblings, Newton, Jean and Leah.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Ward; his children, Linda Eberle (Cliff) and Roger Ward; his granddaughter Hannah Eberle Young (Bradley); and his great grandchildren, Ford and Sutton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Strode Funeral Home, Inc. (610 S Duncan St, Stillwater, OK 74074). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (411 W Mathews Ave, Stillwater, OK 74075).
Gayle was a devout Christian, demonstrating his love for Jesus through lifelong membership and service at First Christian Church of Stillwater, many years of service in the Gideons, and countless private acts of love, service, and charity.
