He was predeceased by: his parents, Nina Provence and Barton Rogers Provence; and his son Paul David Provence. He is survived by: his wife Grace; his brother Jim Provence (Cindy); his daughter Page (Jim George); his daughter-in-law Jeanette Provence; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Kelly (Austin), Mitchell Provence, Averi Blackmon (Jerett), Jill Cooper and Heather Cooper. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oklahoma.

“Sorry to hear of the passing of a very good friend of many years. Carl was a good athlete and played a part in me becoming a Kappa Sigma. Our softball days were great even after I got out of the AirForce. I played on his softball teams made up of OSU baseball players and a world champion Cowboy wrestler Myron Roderick. He was also well known for his musical talent. He will be remembered by all that touched his life. Charles Clack”
