He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Robert and Hazel Knell (Couch); his wife Darlene Knell; his son Patrick Knell; his brother Wayne Knell; and his great great grandchild Avery Dwayne Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Knell Fitzgerald Mims of Florida, Paul Edwin Knell II of Augusta, W. V., Ricky Dean, LouAnn Knell of Quinton and Denise Nelson of Ardmore; his grandchildren, Rocky (Ame), Rusty (Jill), Peyton Knell, Brandie, Tracy, Tricia and Addie; and his siblings, Bob Knell of Dover, Kurt Knell of Glen Burnie, Leslie Knell of Ft. Worth and Karen Pappas of Glen Burnie, Maryland.. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
