He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe "Rock" Monroe and Hattie Monroe; his son Scott Monroe; and his parents-in-law, Steve and Alma Monroe.
He is survived by: his son Van Monroe; his wife Lawana Monroe of Sterling, Oklahoma; his daughters-in-law, Chandra Monroe of Sterling, Oklahoma and Robin Monroe Elzey (Michael Elzey) of Indiahoma, Oklahoma; his brother Bill Monroe; his sister-in-law Betty Monroe of Ardmore, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Kelsee Kephart (Kyle Kephart), Taylor Webb (Erik Webb), Hannah Elzey (Eli Hoyt), Ryan Elzey and Jett Monroe; and his great grandchildren, Hadley Rae Webb and Camille Monroe Kephart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Calvin's name to the Sterling First Baptist Building Fund or any charity of choice.
