We are sad to announce that on December 3, 2020, at the age of 53, James Phillips of Spiro, Oklahoma, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Choate; and his stepfather Henry Choate. He is survived by: his former wife Belinda Scott of Van Buren; his son Blake Scott (Kayla) of Yukon, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Nevaeh and Bryson of Yukon, Oklahoma; his daughter Katheleen Scott of Houston, Texas; his siblings, Felica Phillips (Malcolm) of Spiro, Oklahoma, Jovan Choate (Brandy) of Fort Smith and Cody Choate (Jennifer) of Fort Worth, Texas; his close friend Elaina Hyatt of Spiro, Oklahoma; his uncle William Bee Phillips; and his aunts, Freda Clayton and Norma Reed (Robert). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home to help the family with the cost of services.
