He is survived by: his wife Inakay Meddock (Brown); his children, Sheree Rhoades, Jennifer Henderson, Dwayne Meddock (Sarrah), David Akins and Jason Akins (Stacey); and his siblings, Donnie Meddock, Dale Meddock, Tommy Massengill, Darlene McKinzey and Dorothy Murphy. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.
