He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlie Mae Owens (Mackey) and Ruben Livingston Owens; his daughter Angela Owens; and his brother Ruben Owens. He is survived by: his wife Linda Owens (Lyons); his children, Lanell McGehee (Paul), Lisa Shipman (Russell) and Robert Owens; his grandchildren, Mirranda, Cheyenne, Lindsey, Raven, John, Donna, Gary and Richard; his great grandchildren, Maya, Lara, Lila, Liam, Lacy, Lana, Sidney and Kylie; and his siblings, Terry Grizzle (Herby), Debbie Welker, Sharon Edwards and Shiney Foyil. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.
