He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Black (Kiningham) and Arther Black; his wife Martha Sue Black; his children, Debbie Russell and David Russell; his grandson Benjamin Russell; and his siblings, Lemuel Black and Eleanor Curry.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle Black (Jackie Carlile), Dan Russell (Jessica), Darrell Russell (Karen) and Chris Russell (Pam); his grandchildren, Glen Russell (Steffenie), Logan Russell (Taylor), Amy Orand (Troy), Jamy Potter (Skip), Amber Jones (Cody), Amanda Magruder (Matt), Greg Cox (Erica) and Jennifer Hopping (Jim); and his great grandchildren, Megan Powell, Chris Powell, Alex Allen, Conner Scott, Gavin Potter, Cain Scott, Brent Potter, Brayden Barton, Lucas Magruder, Cody Hopping, Makayla Hopping, Sophie Anglen, Arwen Russell, Rue Russell, Carter Cox and Vivian Cox. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.
