He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Tim Murphy; his parents, William Allen and Ella Mae King (Dalton); and his sister Corene Watters (King). He is survived by: his wife Betty "Jeannie" King; his children, Janet Freeman (Robert, David Allen), Sharon Harper (King), Bill Roberts and Karon Roberts (Jerry); and his nephew Gary Watters. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
