He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinita Elizabeth Carruthers (McQuay) and Randell Carruthers; and his brother Otis W. Carruthers. He is survived by: his wife Shanda Sue Carter; his children, Ben Carruthers (Tina) of Tulsa, Terry Carruthers (Misty) of Skiatook, Janna Carruthers of Austin and Willie Carruthers of Skiatook; his siblings, Rickey L. Carruthers of Sperry, Janet L. Hodge (Allen) of Olympia, Judy E. Bender (Ken) of Owasso and Phyllis I. Stewart (Marvin) of Tok; his siblings-in-law, Otis Carruthers and Suzie Carruthers of Sperry; his granddaughters, Hannah, Emma, Abby and Paisley; and his stepgranddaughters, Sasha, Robbie, Alisha and Breeanna. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and various nieces and nephews.
