He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Shappie and Armella Shappie; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his children, Donna Jean Carter (Clay) of Webb City and John Moody of Linden; his grandchildren, Nathan Travis Carter of Garden Grove, Nicholas Cody Carter (Shujie Carter) of Ridgecrest, Danielle and Wyatt Moody of Linden; his great grandchildren, Olivia and Carson of Ridgecrest; and his siblings, Bill of Oklahoma City, Steve of Vero Beach, Louise Levinson of Carthage, Kathy Schidel of Vero Beach and Julie Young of Luther. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
