He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Wendell and Linda Sue Bates (Clark); and his daughter Caitlin Bates. He is survived by: his wife Carla S. Bates; his daughter Kassandra Bates of Lawton; his siblings, Dyann Stanley (Randy) of Snyder and Dale Bates (Loretta) of Georgia; and his grandson Cody Nelson Stanley. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial contributions to Wayne be made for his grandson, Cody Nelson Stanley, c/o All America Bank, Snyder, Oklahoma.
