He is survived by: his father Sylvester Sims, Jr.; his nephews, Timothy, Brock and Caleb; his wife Ruby Gittens-Sims; his mother Mary Smith of Snyder, Oklahoma; his siblings, Sylvia Greathouse (Timmie) of Snyder, Oklahoma, Lisa Lindsey (Stanley) of Altus, Oklahoma and Jimmy Smith (Misty) of Snyder, Oklahoma; his stepson Carl of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his sister Thelma Anderson (Eugene) of Lawton, Oklahoma. He is also survived by uncle in Lubbock, Texas; three uncles and one aunt in Dimmit, Texas; three aunts and one uncle.
