He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elijah and Clair Jones Bowen; his former wife Susan Bowen; and his brother Jerry "Squirrel" Bowen. He is survived by: his children, Shane Bowen (Jean), Justin Bowen (Jennifer), Dale Gertiser, Matthew Gertiser, C. J. Bowen, Denette Taylor (James) and Melanie Jewell; and his grandchildren, Jake, Erika, Hunter, Tanner "Bitty", Wyatt, Thomas, Shayna, Briar, Zack, Jessica, Janelle, Jamie and Jamaica. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members, also many friends.
